Silly client messing with till has caused it to break. I’m in Portugal and I talked him through backing up from last night.
This error comes up when he’s trying to restore. Any ideas?

Or can someone who has a strong forum standing take a look for me. No pcs here in Portugal in the cybercafes allow the remote software.

That error doesn’t sound right are you sure that is how it was worded. It sounds to me like it may be a version issue maybe he has older version and trying to load into newer version?
I think it reverted to localdb when the settings file was renamed.
Should you be able to restor an SQL Express backup to a LocalDB?
Ah that Might be been in Joe. But thanks for fixing that for me.

Ive never tried but sure a backup from LocalDb can be restored on SQL Express so not sure if that would be a factor going the other way or not - never needed to try.
