Hi my SAMBAPOS 5 gives me an error and wont start
Data Source=WSSERVER2; User Id=sa;
cant connect to master database, cant make connection can anyone help please?
Show us the error log. It’s probably the server is not working.
after user id usually a password on data source string
can you login ok via sql management studio
Your database string if database is on same computer as as sql itself should be something like COMPUTERNAME\SQLEXPRESS
and if SQL Server service is running then it should work.
Ensure you can connect to the database using MS management studio.
You can even find the full database string at the beginning of MS management studio when it asks to login under server name. You can simply copy and paste that server name in the SambaPOS database string such as the next screenshot
