Hello, with the implementation of our kitchen display, we will be phasing out kitchen tickets printed in the kitchen shortly. Our accountant is used to getting all the kitchen tickets for the day with all the checks for the day. They match the kitchen tickets up to what was rang through the register. Is there a way to have the kitchen tickets print to a file for the day and have that file saved at the end of the day, or better yet, make a report for all the kitchen tickets printed for the day? I’ve tried dabbling with reports but I am unclear on how to get the desired information to print properly. We need the Date, Time, Ticket Number, Table Number, and user name to appear on the report as well as the order information and any order tags, for each order sent to the kitchen. Any help would be appreciated.
Keep your kitchen print job and print automation but create a new printer that saves to file and change the print job to use that printer.
Thought of doing that, but wouldn’t that create a new file every time a new order is sent to the kitchen? If there is a way to have it print the entire day’s orders to that print file and it can be saved for that day, that would be great.
You just need a custom report for submitted orders. I can give you the syntax but it will have to wait. I’m on my phone out of town.
That is perfectly fine, no rush. I have to leave town for the day myself so when you can is fine.
