I rarely use it, on my POS I have a button to get to the nav screen which I find is a lot easier to touch, as well it confuses employees on the nav screen not knowing how to exit and pressing main menu nnot using log out. Could we just map it to the POS screen if any,
Also can we hae the key ESC use to exit out of one menu in managmnet, would really make it easier
Yes you can map the Logout button to the POS (Ticket) Screen.
I know you can, and that was my point. If we can already map it to the screen what is the purpose of it being there?
To explain using pictures, can we change when this main menu button shows up. In my customisation it serves no purpose for when Employees are using it, and just confuses them, because they try to press it to get out of the payment screen, or get out of an enitity screen.
No, you cannot remove the Main Menu button or change when it appears.
I recall asking for this feature a long time ago (because I have no need for the Main Menu button either in V5).
There might be some rare occasions when it is needed though, for example: as a way to exit out of Management, Report Viewer, etc. I cannot think of any other reason for it though, given we can literally make almost anything into an Custom Entity Screen.
In any case, this is not going away any time soon.
Yep, thats why I requested it. I would love to be able to map it to the Admin only account, because as you said you only need it in Mangament or report Viewer, and a regular employee shouldnt have the permissions to go into them.
