so, when you put my SQL code into sql query it works, but when you run it under samba it does not? did I get that correctly?

PD just to clarify, what you are showing me in SQL here is consistent with SAMBA INVENTORY REPORT, that means that my piece of code is working properly… again, you see here 4 columns, just 3 of them are numbers… and in you report there are 4 columns with numbers…
