Make sure the phone line is active with caller ID (if not you need to contact land line company to activate it i.e. BT)

The USB Modem must support Voice for caller ID to work. Looking at the picture of the modem it looks similar to the low cost version I had purchased initially via e-bay which did not work, although they advertised it with support for caller id. I had to return it for refund.
Version purchased from eBay NOT supporting caller ID-

I then purchased alternative version from Amazon. which worked straight out of the box.
You can test the modem using Putty first:
Its straight forward to configure caller id. install the USB modem driver then configure/ select the modem in sambapos
Configure the modem in Sambapos.
Select the Generic modem for the USB modem and PORT configured on (i.e COM 1 or COM 2 etc)
