Payment Screen Settings

Forgive me of my ignorance this is something I should know given my expertise but I never visited this setting before and now I have a need for it. In Payment Screen Settings I know I can configure custom suggested payment button values but is there a way to insert a dollar sign before each one? Just inserting $5;$10;$20 etc does not do anything. I tried escaping the $ that does not work.

Is this even possible? Anyone know?
