Please restart application, Current problem saved to log file

I get this every time I boot up samba v5 on my laptop.

I want to start building the till for my friend who is starting his soft play centre. but the database seems to keep messing up by itself?

I even created a new user called Samba for this purpose, reinstalled Samba and sql v2014 that it installs. It loads up perfect, but when I shut it down and reload I get the above error. Ive been on this now since 10:51 this morning lol.

Is there ANY idea whats happening here? log file below. From what I can see the username and Password are wrong, but I see no way of looking/editing or anything as I just cannot log in?

Kind regards

Matt

Look for the SambaSettings.txt file in one or both of the following locations:

:bulb: NOTE: ProgramData is a hidden folder

C:\ProgramData\SambaPOS\SambaPOS5\
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\SambaPOS\SambaPOS5\

Open the file and edit the Connection String…

<ConnectionString>Data Source=localhost\SQLEXPRESS; User Id=sa; Password=sambapos; Database=SambaPOS5;</ConnectionString>

If the Connection string is not set, it will look like this (self-terminating):

<ConnectionString />

To set it properly, make it look like this:

<ConnectionString>CONNECTIONSTRINGDETAILS</ConnectionString>

searched whole laptop, there is no file names sambasettings.txt ? Maybe I should import it from my till?

edit:

I do not see this file name on my till either?

Edit:

I see that it may be in a hidden folder! Will be searching just now again :slightly_smiling:

Ok thats gotten me the ability to change the username and password, I’m sure I can work that out though.

Thanks for the help, dang!
