before I buy the version 5, I have a question:
I want to install the base system on a Terminal Server in the cloud. There, I have installed the printer driver on the client, but not physically exist on the same network. On Terminal-Server there also install the Printer Driver. Normaly I can pass my local printers via RDP to the server. That didn’t work in the V2 unfortunately, tickets were generated on the server, but not passed through to the client. However, the test printing from the printer driver settings are passed through to the client. Has (can) someone test this already?

It will work, but it will not be reliable. You need the TS to be local.
Wouldn’t recommend this setup but what is the client machine?
You could look at configuring the printer to be remotely available to the RDP server and setup on the host machine…
Either way not sure if this is a good setup.
I would look at the advances with PMPOS using the samba API as this is more suited to having mobile and remote devices.
Although not sure on the printing abilities for the senario described.

Well, with other systems this works very well. The printer of the client will be carried over very well with RDP. SambaPOS seems to send any character that disable the printout at the client printer. I say this but with caution, because I’ve tried so far only the V2.

Samba only looks to locally configured windows printers on the machine its running on. These can be local, networked or whatever but samba only send the print into the windows printer que for the printer named in the printer setup in samba. Anything that happens after that is out of sambas control…
Despite it is possible, but you will have a lot of problems, ie lacking and printing.
Current version does not support (not optimize for network bandwidth) online/cloud so, don’t expect it to work properly. Wait for future online version, probably lot more expensive 
Most important thing, if Internet down (either server or client) then you have to do everything manually or close business

I have installed many cloud systems and for me, there are no problems with printing from a Terminal-Server to the client. It’s all stable and very reliable. Just don’t hold SambaPOS.

SambaPOS is not a cloud system if it were a cloud system printing from cloud would work fine but it is not.
How RDP compares to cloud systems? On RDP software fully works on server and have no idea about local printers. All cloud clients works locally and can access local hardware.
Searching for “RDP Printing” on google will list some virtualization solutions for RDP.
Let us finish the topic. It lacks the understanding of the problem. I know very well how printer by RDP work. I don’t install SambaPOS on the client, I start it on the Terminal Server via RDP. The ticket printout sends to the print Spooler on the termimal-server, however this term not to the client will be transferred. With all other systems on the Terminal Server, prints are clean passed through at the client-printers.
We must not further discuss the subject.
