Problems starting sambapos

Hello everyone,

i’m new to this pos software and downloaded the latets v3 version of the sambapos (xp machine) i followd a turtorial pdf for configuring the pos software. but now everytime im starting it i get an error that a string is nog good and so it won’t start.

this is the line that had to be modiefied to get it to wrok: data source=Server-PC\SAMBAPOS3; User Id=sa; Password=sambapos

is there a way to manual remove this line without starting the pos software ? i’ve tried reinstalling it but with no afail.

if anyone knows where to remove this please let me know!

That is the connection string and it is in a file named SambaSettings.txt

Find the file and edit it using Notepad or similar. It should be located in one of these places:

C:\ProgramData\SambaPOS\SambaPOS3
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\SambaPOS\SambaPOS3

i found the file tough it was on a diffrent location (all user map on windows xp).
i renamed the folder and now it starts again thnx ^^
