Product Inventory

Hello dear friends,
I have a question about inventory on SambaPOS4.

I want to show my problem by example.

I sell snickers. I created inventory item that named snickers. Base unit is pcs, transaction unit is pack and multiplier is 48. (48 pcs in pack)

My question:
When I enter Warehouses screen it shows Snickers remained 1.56 pack in stock. But I don’t count it by packs, I count by pcs. It should be actually 75 pcs. How can I make it to show me stock in pcs (base unit).

Make your delivery unit pices and input 48 purchased for a box delivery would be easiest.

Inventory Stock is reported by Transaction Unit, or if there is no Tx Unit, it is reported by Base Unit.

You could do as @JTRTech mentions, or you can do this (my preference):

  • blank out the Transaction Unit and set the multiplier to 0.
  • save then re-open the Inventory Item.
  • create Additional Unit as Pack, set it’s Multiplier to 48 pcs, and check the Box on the left to make it the Default Transaction Unit.

Since the “regular” Tx Unit is blank/0 it will now report Stock by Base Unit.

Thank you! It’s what I want
