I have just set up floats to be added on the start of work periods, however as I have 2 tills that operate at different time that overlap each other, Is there a way to set up separate work periods for each till?
So Till 1 > Start Work Period > Enter Float Amount.
However when I start till 2, the work period is already started and there is nowhere to enter float amount.
I would like to be able to Start and end work periods for each till individually.
Is this possible? I haven’t found it so far on forum research
Doubt it if you have then joined on network on same SQL database.
Never accounted for float in this way as have always had a fixed float thats the same every day.
There are topics on tracking till sales separately by terminal name which may help. Have a ook through one of those.
Our 2 Bars where the tills are placed usually close at different times. I didn’t want there to be a situation where one closes and closes the work period whilst the other is still active. Hence messing with the floats if the other bar has to reopen the work period.
You don’t have to use work periods this way. Your reports can be separated by tills the work period is typically tracked for day begin and right before you leave at close of business not tills.
So leave the work period open until it’s time to close business not just till. Both tills can show reports separately and you can specify time in custom reports for the till that closes early.
