I just upgraded to 5.1.60 (from a previous 5.1.x build) and immediately noticed that the order of tables on screen changed.
Previously it was 1,2,3,4,5 etc but now is 1,10,11,12 etc
Is this a bug? If so, is it known and is there a simple solution? I had a play around with settings but couldn’t see anything obvious. Under ‘Entities’ in Manage they still show in the correct order.
Either manual sort or change 1 to 01 etc.
Pretty sure that the order would always have been like that and you manual sorted before, I know I purposfully always name my table 01, 02, 03 etc, its a common sorting quirk seen in may things (look at the first numbers )
I would imagine this has to do with the fact that Entities used to be listed in the order in which they were created, and there was a request (by me) to have them listed alphabetically.
This works well for Customer Entities for example when you set the State Filter to *, then you don’t need to populate the Entity List, and when you create a new Customer, it is automatically added to an Entity Grid.
As for Tables, JTRTech offers the best solution… prefix your table numbers with a 0 if they are less than 10 and they will be listed as you would expect (still, alphabetically).
You cannot. There is no sorting feature for Entities.
