You don’t have [ORDERS]
section in your template.

I used
[ORDERS GROUP|PRODUCT GROUP]
{QUANTITY SUM} {GROUP KEY}|{GROUP SUM}
to print products grouped by category,
now after the update are no longer printed

at the time I followed this guide,
worked perfectly, not anymore
I would like to create a template with these features:
instead of elencarmi all products with quantities
1 coca 3.00
2 fanta 6.00
3 beer 9.00
1 appetizer fish 1.00
1 appetizer meat 1.00
1 Second meat 1.00
they should be grouped by group
6 drinks 18.00
2 appertizer 2.00
1 second 1.00
I tried with groups but I can not
does anyone know how to do?
thanks

What version did you upgrade from… and what version did you upgrade to?
BTW maybe check this out it might be useful.
People who implemented courses already knows when we group orders by Course state we can define sort order with Group Order and State Order settings.
[image]
Group Order defines sort order within other states names of the order and State Order defines the order of states.
With new release it will be possible to override State Order by configuring tag orders like we do for custom product tags. So these syntaxes are also supported.
[ORDERS GROUP|ORDER TAG:<tag name>:<sort order definition>]

I switched to 4.1.82
if I’m not mistaken the 4.1.41

@spanky I think that changed to let people skip specific groups on prints. I assume you want to print only groups so including that in your template will solve your problem.

So instead of <J00>
you can try…
<J>
tag
adding one or two space characters.
One of them should work.

I tried with tag
and do not know where to add the two spaces.
Can you explain with an example.

[ORDERS]
<first space><second space>
I mean don’t type <first space>
. Press space bar key twice on your keyboard.

I tried to add this:
[ORDERS]
[ORDERS GROUP|PRODUCT GROUP]
- {QUANTITY SUM} {GROUP KEY}|{GROUP SUM}
with two space
the result is always the same as in the picture

Hmm weird… We should add something under [ORDERS] section but it should generate no value to skip blank lines. My suggestions works fine for demo printer but I can’t test it with a real printer because I don’t have one atm. Can you try one more thing?

How come I can not even go back to an old version of sambapos?

I noticed that the error comes out from version 4.1.69 to 4.1.71
so it has to do with these changes:
You can group items by Custom Product Tags with [GROUP|PRODUCT TAG:X] switch. I’ve added custom sorting for that switch.
Configure new Custom Product Tag.
[image]
New editor will appear on product pages.
[image]
Use new Product Tag Editor to configure all tags.
[image]
Configure Kitchen Print Template to activate grouping. You can define sort order of tag values by typing comma separated tags inside grouping switch.
[image]
The syntax is:
[ORDERS GROUP|PRODUCT TAG:<tag name>:<s…

OK. I think I found a way to skip blank lines. Can you try this?.
[ORDERS]
<skip>
As there is no existing <skip>
tag it should skip that line.

then, the result is this:
if I post
[ORDERS GROUP|PRODUCT GROUP]
<J00>- {QUANTITY SUM} {GROUP KEY}|{GROUP SUM}
[ORDERS]
<skip>
the result is this
but if I enter this
[ORDERS]
<skip>
[ORDERS GROUP|PRODUCT GROUP]
<J00>- {QUANTITY SUM} {GROUP KEY}|{GROUP SUM}
the result is this
is as before if it were not for the space between the lines.
the result is good, but there is a way to remove the space?
thanks emre
