I am having real problems with printing tasks. When waiters send orders , they dont go to the correct department, and then, when customers add to the order, say when they order deserts etc or more drinks, the printers produce the whole order again so this is resulting in a mountain of useless tickets being printed, plus the risk of having orders being done and done again.

By default it uses order states to route new orders and not print submitted orders so you must have interrupted either the states on the orders or the Execute Kitchen Orders print job action. We would need to see screenshots of these things.
