Top 10 SambaPOS Tips Video Sugestions

Was thinking about putting together a top tips video and would like to open up to sugestions.

Anyone want to offer their top tip or two we can almagimate into a top 10 video?

If you want to offer a short screen recording demoing your tips feel free.

Thinking of a few.

  • Right click in manage for clone items, view all to add multiple of same action and batch delete.
  • Selecting items on settle screen to add up
  • Plus/minus buttons - often overlooked
  • Adding message prompt to test problem rules

All sugestions welcome…

From a default database, an overview of you what all the buttons on the pos screen do would be a good start to be honest… Usually I find people get more attracted to the front sales screen, and knowing what each and every button does from beginning allows them to be more more interactive with it than become afraid.

At least I plan to start this way, so that a person just starting off with samba has a good but basic understanding of how sambaPOS works. Then slowly but surely start going over some basic customization tutorials till it eventually reaches more advanced ones.

That’s on the list, after selling 50 terminals over last year or so to 30 people I’ve been through a general where everything is run through so many times LOL

I was trying to cover different levels to keep myself sane lol

Am going to try and dedicate a couple of evenings to making a couple more tutorial videos, only basic intro ones but was hoping to maybe try and make the samba top 10 tips one of them.
Did anyone have any tips they wanted to put forward?

Screen size changing using shift, ctrl, and mouse scroll on samba logo.

Batch product creation method. Using

#(Group Code)
(name of item) 8.0
(Name of item) 3.0

Will create 2 products within that group code with their prices also.

So a user just has to put #group code , put all items under that group code, then next line #another group code and all items under that one also

Creating a different method of misc button using order tags.
Creating product name:(can be anything. E.g. Misc item)
Create order tag group with free tagging,
save tagging
Assign it to your newly created product. And now you can add products on the fly straight from your menu screen, all which can be associated to a misc item product u just created, which can be saved so it can be used later also.

There’s more. But I’m on my phone right now :stuck_out_tongue:

The difference beetween Orders and Tickets.

As far as I know the thing we call as Ticket is Captain Order.
