58mm thermal printer line set up

Hello Everybody,

I have the printer 80mm thermal printer. Now I bought a printer which is also thermal but size is 58mm. So in new printer line is breaking down. For that how do I set my printer template to print in new printer.

Please help me.

Change the Line Character Count on your Printer settings in SambaPOS.

For a 58mm thermal printer, you can try setting it to 32, then increase it until you find the value that breaks the line, then you know the maximum characters you can have per line.

Thanks markjw. Done! But one problem I am facing is that print is not completed to last line. Here I give a copy. In this image (1) is previous receipt’s line and (3) is the last line of current receipt (Cut down). There is B (2) unnecessarily printed But in my template there is no ‘B’ I found. Can you help me?

Show your template.

The B have seen before and if remember right it was something to do with ‘BLEEP’ command.

My Ticket Template is…

58mm? guessing this is a cutter-less printer?
Add a few blank lines after the Powered by www.dotbubble.com 01971234727.
Looks like you have but have J0 for line format, there should be two numbers, put C00 instead and put extras.
Guessing you have half at top and half at bottom because the print is not feeding enough at the end and your tear teeth are ending up accross the powered by.

Thanks for your solution. One is solved but other is not. I can’t remove the letter (B) from the top…

That is an interesting one, when seen before it was from trying to get the printer to ‘bleep’ on print.
You dont have any other print jobs do you which might be causing?
Given that there isnt an autocutter multiple prints may apeer to be on a single print…
