I have lived, breathed, and loved SambaPOS for a very long time. I gave a big part of my life to it, and I never hesitated to help whenever I could. I’ve stayed up countless nights with many of you, working through challenges, supporting users, and sharing in the growth of this amazing community. Those memories and connections will always stay with me.
That’s why this is so difficult to write. For personal reasons, I need to step back from the forums and from my day-to-day involvement here. Right now, continuing to participate only reminds me of how much this journey has meant, and that’s hard for me on a personal level.
To everyone I’ve had the privilege of helping, and to those who have helped me along the way — thank you. This community is built on passion, collaboration, and dedication, and I feel honored to have been a part of it. I don’t know what the future may bring, but I will always carry deep gratitude for the years I’ve shared with you all.
Since Emre and Qmckay passed away, things just haven’t felt the same. And now you’re leaving too, huh?
I have to say I’m really sad to hear this. Sambapos and you guys brought a lot of value to many users. I really wish it didn’t have to end this way. The forum hasn’t been as lively as it used to be, and I was already feeling down seeing that many valuable users no longer visit.
I should also admit that I’m a bit frustrated about some things. I don’t know if anyone will take this seriously—maybe they’ll even delete my message—but I’ll still say it.
What people have been saying among Sambapos users, unfortunately, isn’t very positive.
After Emre passed away, the new versions came out with a lot of bugs.
They didn’t add any meaningful new features.
Reported issues weren’t fixed.
Even things that worked fine in the old versions stopped working in the new ones.
Integrations and the mobile apps also didn’t live up to expectations.
Resellers and users are upset because of this.
Maybe you’re stepping away for the same reasons, but choosing to call it “personal reasons.”
This message reflects the opinion of many dealers and users here. I really hope you take it into consideration and make things better.
