am trying to setup my account in samba version 5 to oparate in default mode but i think i messed somthing up because i cant seem to make payment by account to show in the settle page.

What do you mean Default Mode?
The best way to do it.
I need the customer account button to appear on settle screen so that I can use it for my regular clients who buy goods on credit.
Did you create that payment type yet?
yes i did attaching the image.
You need to create account for customer entity, on the edit entity screen in pos there should be create account button.
If it’s not enabled check you account name format, ie if it has telephone no in it and the entity doesnt have a number set it wont allow creation.
The customer button is not showing even as greyed out.
Your account transaction type is wrong. You need a default source account. It should look like this:
