Asking me activate licence again

I installed and activate SambaPOS V5 on aa computer about 6 months ago, I did connect the computer about activate the licence but now it is usually never connected on internet.

My issue is that since few days, I have a popup asking me to register my license, which I already did it! And all was OK until now.
So I went on the menu Sambamarket from th app about activate my license but the button is disabled. When I try to login on this same form on the top right, it doesn’t let me login. So I went to http://www.sambamarket.com/ about Clearing my license key but it doesn’t change anything.

Anyone could help me about it?

  1. Log off on market screen by clicking on your user name.
  2. Shutdown SambaPos.
  3. Login to sambamarket.com
  4. Clear keys.
  5. Start sambapos.
  6. Login to market screen and activate.

If you have automatic backups be sure you don’t shutdown sambapos while backup is working. On next 61. update it won’t cause an issue.

I’ve had similar issues regarding a few of my clients also. Some recently installed too. Had to go in there, clear database keys, the re inject them back into samba for it to work. it’s been weird lately.

I did those steps, but I still can’t login to the market screen on the application. I tried with another account (which doesn’t have licence) and I can’t login neither. Do you think this login problem is related to keys? I am thinking about reinstalling the software but not even sure it can help.

So you can login to sambamarket but can’t login to SambaPOS market screen? Do you see login link on the market screen?

Yes, on the top right. When I click,I have field login and password. Then when I validate, it come back to login and I remain not connected.
For testing, I tried to connect on another computer and it works. Once I diconnect from this test computer, do I need to clear the key again before trying to connect on my “production” computer?

No you don’t need to clear keys to login from another computer.

This is what happens when password or user name is incorrect. If you can login from another computer but can’t login from production computer it may mean there is some issue related to production computer but I never received an issue report like that before.

Can you try changing your password from http://www.sambamarket.com/Home/ResetPassword link and try the steps I’ve listed above? If SambaPOS automatically fills your user name when login dialog appears try clearing it entirely and retype that.

Also if you have multiple terminals connected to that database you can try validating it from another terminal.

I found the problem, it was related to my touchscreen keyboard which was on another language.

I did the proedure about init key and now my activate button is ok
