I uninstalled and reinstalled sambapos but same database, the licence is not working. But I upgrade to 5714

I am a bit concerned, learning this is a bit overwhelming at first. I have loaded the server SQL required for ver 5 and did the settings with virus protections and firewalls, I believe correctly, I want to get started now and set it up for my Restaurant Bar Business, on the demo, but I still get server error?
I know if I start making my data base I don’t wish to redue it all, when licensed, if it is not being saved some where? also if I setup the POS as I like it, a some point, like make adjustments at home, can I then take a saved data base on a USB and transport it to my businesses computer and update that data base with the newer one I did at home ?

Hello, I am running into a similar problem. My server is working fine, but when I connect my terminal it gives me a message server error (even though it says message server connected) and unregistered license.

I would like to reply and let people who may run into this issue as well how I think i was able to fix it. It looks like I had installed the 32bit version. I uninstalled and reinstalled the message service and it started working
I upgraded from 5.7.12 to 5.7.22 and ran into this issue. Message server error and would not activate licenses.
on version 5.7.12 the messaging server used port 8080 and the message server address was just the ip address of server. Ex: 192.168.1.9
The Solution: change the port to 9000. update the server address with HTTP://
