CRC error… corrupt DB or Hard Drive?

I’m testing that. It’s a new HD not even 3 months old

The db was corrupt I restored the last wp and it is working. I lost all of today’s sales data :frowning:

All I did was add an item to menu

Sorry noob move of me. I was smack in middle of a huge rush. I never had sambapos just stop working like that. I posted this hoping for someone to read it and help me figure it out while I ran my rush.

Thanks Q for help.

Now I need to figure out what caused it. I literally just added one item to menu before it happened.

Did you see this again ?
Or only once

I have not tried to add the item again. I will when I get back. I had to leave the food truck to prep tomorrow’s meat I’ll let you know when I try it again.

CRC error is not a ordinary error. Please be careful

To retrace what happened I added an item called Chicken Plate and a price of $10 them added it to the menu. Everything was fine until we tried to take payment. So something got corrupted when It created the transactions.

Its not about what you add. This a low level error

Yeah I’m not sure what caused it. Everything else worked. Sambapos worked. It just wouldn’t let us take payments aka write a ticket to the db.

I ran a disk scan the HD is fine. The database was corrupted somehow. Restoring the db fixed it for now.

you can check db with DBCC CHECKDB command

I am probably going to upgrade the HD soon to a good ssd. This is the only machine I went cheap with on the HD.

Hahah this is Murphy Law
