Hello, I would like to ask if there is any way to set a delay for order taking on the computer? By this I mean that waiters should not be able to submit orders for 10 tables within 2 minutes one after another, but instead a certain time limit could be set, and only after this limit has expired would it be possible to send/print a new order to the kitchen.
What is the actual problem you are dealing with that needs this type of functionality?
I can’t see how this would be practical as once a waiter takes an order, they need to input it into the POS then move to the next order. Requiring waiters to “wait” for a time before an order can be input is going to cause delays, decrease customer satisfaction and frustration due to delays / slow service and will inevitably result in human error, extended delays and missed orders (waiter forgets to input order as dealing with something else).
Using a kitchen display instead of a printer in the kitchen would make the order process more manageable and controllable for the kitchen staff and means the waiters don’t need to care about anything other than taking orders and inputting them on the POS.
