Discount button crashing sambapos

every time i press the discount button when im settling a ticket, sambapos crashes…im using the default discount button i have never edited it before or changed the settings of the discount button or rounding button…is there a way i can fix it or is there another way i can give discounts to my ticket when settling the bill

That exception looks like it was thrown from clicking “Send” within the exception handler.

That looks like it’s triggered from trying to print. Hmm

Please close SambaPOS, rename the log file to something else so it’s still around just in case.

Start SambaPOS and recreate the crash. Then please post the exception that’s logged.

ok thanks will do so…quickly went out of the shop, will keep u posted as soon as i get back

it usually does randomly on any ticket anytime, im trying to recreate the crash but its not crashing when i press the discount button, sometimes it crashes then sometimes it doesnt i dont know if its something on the ticket. i will try and check all the discount tickets and see if there is any resemblance.if it happens again i will post the crash report here

Are you adding the discount from the settle screen? If not, how are you adding it?

When this exception is thrown, is it immediately after adding the discount? If not, at what point in the process does it happen?

What do you have defined in rules that executes a print job? Anything firing on ticket total changed?

yes im adding the discount from the settle screen , it happens immediately after adding the discount…check screen shots if you need me to expand my rules to show you how they are configured let me know…

Do you have any rules that subscribe to the ticket total changed event?

That’s the only thing I can think of from looking at the exception.

If you’ve got nothing trying to print on ticket total changed, then I am stumped and would have to punt to those more knowledgeable than I.

i think the problem lies in the 2 rules i have that are the same

  1. open cash drawer when cash button clicked
  2. open cash drawer when cash payment received

i deleted the first one, i hope its not gonna crush again…if it does i will post again the crush report so someone can help
