I know I was looking for this feature few other people might be as well so thought I would remind you that it is now live. The ability to dynamically date your documents that are created via Document Type. Helps with some of the Expenses Tutorials and other things as well.

It also supports [DATE:dateformat] syntax in case of you need it. For example [DATE:yy] returns two digit year value.
It should also support printer tags.
Balance template should also support printer tags and expressions. So by using {ACCOUNT BALANCE:X} tag you can pull any account balance and used together with expressions you can make calculations. For example while calculating tips for each personnel you can set %10 of tip account total to employee 1 and %20 to employee 2.
None of these features are tested yet but I thought you might want to play with these feature

I certainly will. I still have plenty of time before I go live so I plan on building this thing with as much as I can before I do go live.
