How can I get rid of the connection string error?

Well, I installed SQL 2014, started SQL, it connected to Samba.

Connection string is a SQL server term it’s not a Sambapos syntax. It’s basic networking for connecting to a SQL server. It’s the same for any program trying to connect to SQL server.

I disagree it’s very easy to find information in search for connection string issues. It sounds to me like your digging for reasons NOT to use Sambapos. That’s fine just don’t expect forum members to help much if your conveying that feeling.

You can choose to take our advice or not it’s up to you. The best advice is to search the forum and look at tutorials. It’s a fact the information is there and your not unique to the other people.

I have same issue, sambaposv5 and no luck to find in my whole drive the sambasettings.txt even I have turned on to show hidden files

@eadauto Go to C:\ProgramData\SAMBAPOS\
u will see sambaPOS5 or sambaPOS4 go in to the folder delete SambaSettings.txt

Please make sure you enable “show hidden folders and files” in folder option otherwise you wont be able to find “Program Data”
