How to get database for samba pos 5 trial version

I recently installed samba pos 5 trial version and am wondering where i can get the sql database for the trial version?

What do you mean?

When you install it will by default install SQL Server Local DB 2014 unless you uncheck it. And will also by default install a sample database, again unless you uncheck it.

If you setup as a single terminal everything you need is setup by default.

SambaPOS cannot connect to the database.

Are you sure you selected to install SQL LocalDB 2014 during the install, and did it download and install correctly?

yes it did install sql localdb 2014 ,actualy i uninstalled sambapos and re-installed it but it dint ask me to install sql localdb 2014

i already had sql express 2012 installed,i dont know if that may cause an issues

No it won’t. Actually you can even use SQL Express 2012 if you wanted

thanks for the advice,so what do i need to do to get it to work with the already installed one

Am wondering where sambapos stores its database when i use localdb2014. Thanks.

It will be in the root of your user profile path - %userprofile%. So typically it will be C:\Users\<username>\.

Please note though that even LocalDB is essentially the same as full SQL Server except it runs under the user instead of a service, so you can’t just copy database files between systems. You can manage LocalDB using SQL Server Management Studio though just like you would a full instance of SQL Server - in SSMS, the server name would be (LocalDb)\MSSQLLocalDB.
