Just tried with latest version, restarted SambaPOS a couple of time and the config stays.
If you have AV software installed, see if it was quarantined. I don’t think a text file would be quarantined, but one never knows.
My version is 5.3.6
I will try again. Can you confirm the folder I need to put this file again?

I didn’t install any anti virus. It is on window 7. Do I need to change any support language?

it’s SambaPOS5\Layout in the user’s documents folder. The files in the screenshot you shared looks like you’re in the correct folder.
Delete the old download. Then, download again.
Navigate to you downloads folder, and on the zip file, right-click and select “properties”. Check “Unblock” at the bottom of the dialog and click “OK”. Then extract the file again to the layout folder and try again.
