I’m having a problem, and I’m not sure if this is how the system is supposed to work.
I’m setting up my menu in Jetrik, and when I go to Menu Sorting, I’m trying to drag and drop menu items from one category to another, but it doesn’t allow me to. It only allows me to rearrange items within the same category, not move them to a different category.
I have several menu items that I want to move to other categories. As a workaround, I’ve hidden the original items and created duplicates in the categories where I want them. However, this has resulted in duplicate items, whereas I should be able to use the existing items and simply move them to the correct category.
Another issue is that the system doesn’t allow us to delete menu items if they are linked to existing orders. Why is this the case? In GloriaFood and SambaPOS, I am able to delete an item and create a new one without running into this problem.
Is there a way to move existing menu items between categories and delete items that are no longer needed, even if they are linked to previous orders?
I’d appreciate some clarification on whether these are system limitations or if there’s another way to do this.
