Locked out of selection on INVENTORY transaction screen

SambaPOS [App: 4.1.49] [DB: 65-65] SQ

Click on MANAGE
Click on INVENTORY -> TRANSACTIONS
select ADD TRANSACTION DOCUMENT
enter 444 as the Document No:
Click on ADD
Select Transaction - > PURCHASE TRANSACTION TYPE
Press the TAB key to the INVENTORY ITEM NAME field, then use the mouse to select an item
Press TAB key again and enter in QUANTITY
Press TAB key to the UNIT PRICE field and enter a unit price
Press TAB key to the TOTAL PRICE field and enter a total price
Press the TAB key to exit the TOTAL PRICE field.

Now click on ADD and all the new fields on the new line are locked out and you can not enter in data. You have to either cursor into the previous line first and edit a field or delete and add that line back.

Are you having to manually enter a total? Something with your inventory items is messing it up. I am running the same version and mine works fine even did the exact sequence of events you mentioned. I think since your manually entering a total price you have your units and multipliers etc setup wrong for the inventory item.

Maybe post a screenshot of the item your trying to add? How you have that item configured in Inventory Items?

I have found with further testing. If I tab out of the field and let the total autopopulate it does not crash. If I type in the total, press the TAB, (so now the SAVE button has focus via the tab key) then mouse click SAVE, when I’m back on the transaction document page it crashes 100% of the time, when I double click on the transaction document no. to get back in.

It is not meant for you to manually enter a total. That is not how it is designed. See your previous post I answered why this is happening to you.

My suggestion would be to lock out the TOTAL field so you can’t enter a number in and let the system calculate it all the times. Seems there are cases when entering into the Total field will crash the system.

It should work fine after next update (4.1.50)
