Login with keyboard number randomly?

Hi team,

Is possible config a number keyboard randomly in the login form like the attached images.

The last for security purposes

What do you mean keyboard number randomly?

There is a keypad to login already??? What is it you want to do?

 no need to destroy usability for security. You can use magnetic cards for logins. Searching forums will return some related topics.

Hi RickH,

In other POS and also in my bank website… if you need to login with a number password they change the order of the numbers for security purposes.

It can be more delayed to login, the goal is to prevent that other person guess the password imitating the hand gestures

I don’t think you can change login interface its just like that and as Emre said you can use magnetic card for more security .

Just use an RFID, MSR or barcode reader for logging in, I buy RFID readers for £5 each on eBay and fobs cost about £20 for 100
They are 10 didget coded and log out in quickly without anyone being able to copy gestures etc.
This is local onsite epos software not online banking available to the world to hack, think your over complicating…

OMG, I still use password 1234 lol. Emre should have bounty for someone can exploit SambaPOS and take control of computer

The problem with barcodes or RFID’s is that Managers just often give employees there card as they are lazy and dont want to come to the register to do the refund/void

Well thats a behavioural issue, if those that just give tgem to their staff want to do that they should just not restrict access to those functions

If thry owner wants that extra level of security they need to manage their managers and pull them up for giving their fobs out

Thanks team,

I changed the length to six numbers, cause four could be easy memorized… I will investigate about magnetic cards

I’d recommend RFID, probably cheaper if not same cost and last longer.
Ones I get are 5-6Ā£ for a reader and about 20p per fob.
