My GloriaFood integration subscription expires at the end of January next year, so I am looking to implement an alternative early enough for my customers to get used to the new system.
I know Jetrik has a $99/year QR menu plan, but its description only mentions a digital QR menu, menu editing, branding, and photos. It does not clearly mention online ordering.
The $349/year Jetrik Standard plan specifically mentions online ordering, QR table ordering, and payments, but this is much more expensive for my restaurant.
For my needs, I only require:
Customers to view my menu online
Customers to place takeaway/collection orders
Customers to choose when they will collect their order
Customers to pay when they arrive to collect
Orders to be integrated with SambaPOS
I do not need online payments, loyalty programs, QR table ordering, or other additional features.
Does anyone know if the $99/year Jetrik QR plan supports customers placing takeaway/collection orders, or is it strictly a menu for viewing?
If the $99 plan does not support takeaway ordering, are there any other affordable SambaPOS integrations that can provide this basic functionality?

Yes, if you want to take orders, you need to purchase Jetrik Standard. The QR menu only displays the menu; you cannot take orders with it.
You can choose not to use the payment step in Standard. It’s your choice. With Standard, you can take orders both in-store and online.
I feel paying for the standard is way expensive considering I won’t be using some of the features included..it will be nice if Jetrik will consider another package that involves ordering online but does allow include paying online and other features
You know what most people want? Most people do not like to be nickel-and-dimed for a service and Samba is doing just that: one fee for everything. Not $10 to start, $10 for combos, $10 for payments, etc.
I find it hard to believe that any food provider can’t afford $30/mo. $87.25 in gross sales per month should cover the cost of the service (assuming proper costing and pricing). If online ordering isn’t even doing that then I would reevaluate whether one truly needs online ordering.
I understand the point that $30/month may not seem like a lot if online ordering generates enough sales to cover the cost.
My concern is more about paying for features that a small restaurant doesn’t actually need. In my case, I only need basic online takeaway ordering: customers view the menu, place an order, select a collection time, and pay when they arrive. The order then needs to integrate with SambaPOS.
I don’t need online payments, QR table ordering, loyalty features, or some of the other features included in Standard.
So it’s not really about whether I can afford $30/month. It’s about whether it makes sense to pay for a full package when I only need one part of its functionality.
I think a lower-cost package specifically for basic online ordering would make Jetrik much more attractive to smaller restaurants like mine.
I think you are missing the point here - we have all been “spoiled” with the so-called “free” online ordering that GloriaFood created. It was a very, very good service, but it was never free - that was only the carrot to get the cheap ones hooked, and then pay… Nobody who is serious about running online ordering is going to not want to take card payments, so then you needed to pay… Want more than very limited single promotion, then pay again… That was their model and it was frustrating for partners like ourselves at times, but it worked and the “free” offering got them thousands of users no doubt - unfortunately maybe too much to the point that Oracle couldn’t make their millions that they expect to make from everything from it, so they dropped it.
As a white-label GloriaFood partner, we never offered the free solution to our customers. I even had the odd customer who actually didn’t use card payments online then the cost to us was essentially free - but we still charged our customer the same amount, because that was the business model we chose to provide. Much the same way as the business model SambaPOS has chosen for Jetrik.
Like @Memo says - if your restaurant is in such a position that you cannot afford $30 a month for online ordering - just don’t waste your time doing it. Go and take orders on WhatsApp or something. Or if “free” / “low cost” is all you care about, go and download https://tastyigniter.com/ and see if it can do what you need - but there won’t be any SambaPOS integration (unless you build it yourself…), but the core product is free and open source. You need to self-host it also. And once you start putting all these bits together, and if you value your own time and cost as well, soon $1 a day doesn’t seem like much after all…
