Menu Items in sub menu but printed as main

Hello Everyone

I am seeking some assistance here

I am creating a menu and submenu to clean the main dash and ensuring its easy to us for the staff. I have added items in sub menus and while printing it prints both items but on receipt and KOT I only need sub item names printed

eg
#drinks and sub items Cold, Hot, Beer, Wine and Spirits
in beer I can add sub menus

can some one help?

You might need to better explain.
Clarify your use of the term submenu… this is normaly only menu organisation and wouldnt print regardless so am guessing your reffering to some other feature

i assume with KOT you mean Kitchen Orders Template and with submenu you mean Order tags

to only see order tags on kitchen template you need delete {NAME} from the template
here is how your kitchen template should look like

[LAYOUT]
<T>Ticket
<L00>Date:{TICKET DATE}
<L00>Time:{TIME}
<L00>Table:{ENTITY NAME:Table}
<L00>Ticket No:{TICKET NO}
<F>-
{ORDERS}

[ORDERS]
<L00>- {QUANTITY} {ORDER TAGS}

[ORDERS:Void]
<J00>- {QUANTITY} {ORDER TAGS}|**Void**

[ORDER TAGS]
-- Format for order tags
<L00>     * {ORDER TAG NAME}

but like @JTRTech said with this info there is not much to work with so im just guessing that this is what you want

I mean

Drinks >Red Wine > XXXX > Glass or Botttle Tags

What’s the best way displaying these options buttons

Still cunclear as pretty sure your using the wrong terminology.

Your example there… wine.
On my system for wines I have a product for each type of wine.
Then each type of wine as portions setup on the product for the glass sizes and bottle.
Then on the menu I have a wines menu item category in which I put all wine products.
Then in the edit category products popup table I set a submenu for white, rose, red, champagne and bin ends.
This theb gives me a wines button in the middle column, then on the right I get the white, rose, red etc buttons at the top with the ‘colours’ below that.

Your origional question was about printing though… And neither menu item category or submenu are printable factors of a order/product…

Again if you can more clearly explain what your wanting preferably with screenshots/images to demonstrate we can better help

hmm…

Question 1
Displaying Menu List Item Buttons on the main screen(order screen) with sub category. Also adding another sub-category item inside sub-category

How to upload this menu - best practice?

Question 2 was related printing - forget about this.

Thank you in advance! It was a quick help

Why do you need sub-sub menus?
I think you can do sub-sub with a . on the submenu column but havnt tried.
Your menu there looks too simple to need sub-sub menu…
