The surface pen btw has changable tips. It uses a single AAAA battery that lasts a year. 1024 pressure sensitivity, Bluetooth connection.
I look at Apples new pencil and I almost want to laugh. They have clever words and descriptions for it but man its more than obvious which one is better. Apple im afraid is losing ground badly.

It is sad how uninspiring the apple releases have been, few years back I would stay up and watch the keynote release for the iphone etc but havenāt bothered the last couple of years as they are much less exciting than they used to be.
Any now I find myself more excited by a Microsoft product LOL, would have called myself a traiter few years ago HEHE
Wow I was about to renew my macbook pro (primary dev machine). It probably wonāt release in my country soon but Iāll wait for a while.

Yes at our recent āteam meetā one of our Help Desk Staff had a Surface so we wound up using it for the SambaPOS demo. Like it just hooked into the 55" Flat Screen and away I went. The Video, look & feel, and speed were very nice!
Wanted instantly to throw my cheap 11" tablet purchased for the demo straight in the trash

I am in love with these phones. The thing is they are the first real attempt at a premium phone since the New CEO and I think he got it right. This PC Like experience on desktop is insane. Its extremely useful I could use it every day at work. This feature alone would be the reason for me to buy one of these phones. What excites me even more is that these are the first versions so it will improve from here on out.
I think Microsoft has got it right finally with the phone.
For a work phone it has everything I want. Micro SD Card support, Removable Battery, Continuum, full Office Apps etc. They made it look like a unibody yet its not I think thats great. Unibody phones look great but lets be honest being able to change a battery or the look of the phone is a great feature. In the past this meant cheap plastic looking backs but it seems Microsoft fixed that.
Really great. In fact Iām closely following improvements on html based apps development but seems like Iāll also start looking our options to develop (metro/modern/unversal lol) apps for these devices. btw wpf community have increased pressure on wpf team to release it as open source as it is still best desktop development tool but seems like it wonāt happen.
I know there are skeptics but history shows trends behind specific technologies that changed the way we do things. So far all signs are pointing towards what Microsoft is doing will be a huge game changer. Apple and other competitors are suddenly mimicking them. That is the largest sign.
Steve Jobs himself once said that if you have to use a Stylus then its a total failure. Yet we see a half baked attempt at an apple version of the Microsoft Pen that was just chalked up and seems to be after thought for a new tablet thats really just the same old tablet with bigger screen.
I just sense a big shift and I think for consumers its going to be great. I think Microsoft is on the leading edge of this atm. Thats not to say others wont catch on they are not dumb afterall.
This right here kind of tells you something:
Microsoft is unbeatable on OS, like Apple is unbeatable on hardware, google is unbeatable on search engines and facebook is unbeatable on social networks. I believe sooner or later apple allow osx and windows on their hardware like theyāve did for macs.
Ideally the best for consumers would be the same apps available across all platforms. I think everything is moving in that direction. Consumers are demanding it honestly. It may not be the best for the companies but Consumers may push it to that.
I am glad to see Microsoft move towards this ideal. Apple is notoriously tough on this but I think they might shift as well consumers are pushing them toward it. Google is kind of the oddball with this but honestly I think Google is positioned to go either way quite easily.
I agree. Especially what is happening on IoT area is really exciting.
Hmmā¦ I was very tantalized by the Surface Book myself when it was announced. But it is simply far too expensive for what it is. There are many many 2-in-1s with very similar specs that do not cost nearly as much.
And then I started hearing/reading about a bunch of problems with the Book - if I recall most having to do with the optional external dock, but also just the base system itself, like the display-dimming-while-scrolling in a browser bug.
Best to let some iterations go by before jumping on itā¦ but it also supports my opinion that it is far too expensive. You should not be paying that much to receive a product that has obvious issues out of the gate.

I agree but recent news is most glitches were software related and are being fixed. However the second gen book will typically be the better buy.
I dont know you guys, but i am pretty happy with the new windows 10 familyā¦ so much that I changed (traded) my Samsung S3 to a NOKIA LUMIA 730 (the only one I could afford changing one for the other). Its running windows 10 phone 10581, and it works greatā¦ fastā¦ battery lasts one and a half day against the half day of the S3ā¦ nice screenā¦ responsiveā¦
I think MS nailed it this timeā¦and if they continue like this they will get some pie shareā¦ I think Android was a huge success but unless they do something radicalā¦ it will get obsolet quiet fastā¦ as its happening with IOSā¦
as soon as I get millionaire i will try to get a 950XLā¦ LOL!!! (it announced in R$4000 here, somethin like USD 800)ā¦
