BTW you can do this for Ticket States and Entity States as well… Instead of using To Go ticket tags to define To Go orders you can create a custom State Flow using Ticket State so it shows To Go at top of ticket and you can define all sorts of cool behaviors around that state.
Can also use Order States for To go to flag specific orders as Togo and keep them separate from other orders on same ticket… that state can be read to show on a specific screen or printed specific place on ticket… etc
@Jesse I can’t wait to see how your seats configuration is going to work!.. Id really like to be able to add guest to a table but keep them under the same order window but separate each order by guest to keep it organized… might make splitting up bills easier when its time for people to pay as well!
So I had a thought… When i select an item to add to a ticket could i have it ask me what seat number it should be added to?.. ive tried to do it but its not working… not sure what im missing… Or what im doing wrong… When i get to this screen i actually have to force close samba… its stuck in a loop and wont do anything when i choose a seat…
Ahhhaaa!.. You are a smart man!.. Works perfectly now!.. That way the waitresses are forced to set a seat for each drink and order. Eventually I’d like to figure out a way to have a button that splits the bill based on seats… But I’m not there yet!
Hey guys iv been following this setup and I got it working by the first tutorial posted here with a seat button on the side but then you guys lost me with the other popup setup. Is there a way to set seat number and then enter 3 items all being the seat number you entered then click seat again and enter another seat in which you can enter another set of items. I think this would be alot better then asking for every item.
I’m working on toggle seat button. So, you click once (seat 1] then add order will be automatically assign the seat 1. Then click again (seat 2) and add order again and so on…
But I have issue with print bill group by seat. After I figure it out, I post the tutorial.
I don’t think popup will be a good idea. Automatic set seat and manual change seat is better. Manual change seat can be assign to multiple order at once too.
So I had an idea but have not attempted it yet… My idea is to create a automation button that when pressed moves all items on a ticket that are tagged with a seat number to a separate ticket on the table and adds a ticket tag to the ticket with the seat number so its visible when you view the table after the tickets have been moved… This way when the bills are printed and the customer goes to the cashieer she can look on the printed ticket and click on the correct seat for the customer without guessing which ticket is which on the screen… What do y’all think?..
So you are saying Split the ticket by seat but keep same table.I think there is a better solution. I will be visiting tables soon with my database once I finalize my time clock stuff. That is not a bad idea though… there is an action that supports that btw. Look at Move Tagged Orders
Move Tagged Orders can be used by Seating States…or Ticket States… . Thinking about it… this would be a great way to do it… Let me know if you have issues trying to implement it… sounds like a great idea.
