Order index doesn't work on kitchen label, but works on receipt

I’m trying to use {ORDER INDEX}/{INDEX TOTAL} to show 1/2, 2/2 and so on. Unfortunately, I’m having problem when printing to kitchen label, they printed 1 of 1 order even with the same ticket number. Meanwhile the receipt is able to show 1 of 2 and 2 of 2.

What option have you got on your print job?
I know the options seem very similar but not sure if this is related to that in that it does that as treating each print as seperate print rather than pages of a single ticket…

I’m using “Separated prints by quantity” option. When I use “Individual orders by quantity”, it will print the order index and index total correctly; but it will only print 1 label and overlapping the second item.

Is there anyhow to setup using “Separated print individual orders by quantity”?

Or is there any tag to setup the print template like this:
{PRINT JOB INDEX} of {PRINT JOB TOTAL}

I’m sure this setup has been done and shared on forum, not at desk to try and find it…

I will try to use this one

I’ve done some more complex fomrating of labels and it works fine for me. I also notice you censor out your business name in the orignal email but we can see it in the print template, if you dont want the name online I’d suggest removing it from the template shown on the forums.

I set a setting value for each order and for each print job I add one to this from the script, it works fine for me but I understnad its a bit complicated

Thanks for noticing and giving me advice. I still do not understand how to set the value. Mind to explain it more specific?

If you dont understand that chances are you would not get the setup to work, as this is a bug in Samba I would sugest waiting for @emre to fix it before trying a hacky way of etting it working

Did you disabled line merging setting in your printer template?

Edit: Nevermind… got it. Should work fine on next update.

Hi Ricco

Can you please advise me what label printer are you using in the above picture?

Many thanks Oliver

I’m using xprinter xp-360b, but I wouldn’t recommend it though. Zebra is way much better in terms of quality.
