From what I understand if you’re selling a “rum and coke” that is considered a single supply and thus is charged at the 20% VAT. Whereas if you sold a “rum” and then a “coke” that would be multi-supply and the 20%/5% would be applied respectively.
Also, order tags are included in the menu item’s price when calculating tax and without custom automation cannot be taxed separately.
I’ve changed your post category to “V5 Question” as SambaPOS seems to be working as designed.
It’s not posible unfortunatly, but interesting point, in same boat here although since our UK prices are handled including tax at least the total is correct for customer.
The work arround we worked on is to report order tags and adjust vat declared accordingly in accounting software.
In regards vat for customer receipts since there is no requirement to show vat breakdown for under £200 I think it is we have taken the including x amount vat off template leaving vat number on and just leaving including vat.
The new vat rates are in theory temporary so unless they don’t go back didn’t bother working to hard on a permanent solution and just made sure correct vat was paid to hmrc
I thought as much, I’ll just adjust the order tags then!
I guess it’s temporary but was wondering if it was possible. It’s just a shame order tags can’t have the option to have their own tax template, that would solve it!
I know what you mean although the principle of tags as what are often referred to as modifiers in other systems are alterations on the main order and not necercerally meant for grouped products.
The long term olution would likely be using the combo/group method to link seperate products.
