Print Problem, one night 2 or 3 times can't print

I use Sambapos 4.1.54 in windows 8.1, i have 35 tables, product over 100, when in dinner time, all tables are full and many order, when i print bill, 2 or 3 times can’t print, i need to restart computer can printer, anyone have same problem?

You probably should switch to a networked printer… or a print server… your computer which is probably acting as the Print Server is more than likely getting overloaded. How many computers do you have running SambaPOS and is the one you mentioned the one the printer is hooked too and is also running the DB?

Only one computer, use sql server, no have printer server, my printer use network port, direct connect to computer.

You have the printer connected to the computer via USB? Are you using any terminals or is ALL orders coming from the single PC?

the printer connected to the computer via Network Port, All order from single pc

Sounds like your pc is either getting bogged down with too much to do. or your drivers for printer need updating.

i only install windows, sambapos, sql server… and printer driver is Up to date…

With the information you have provided it sounds like a spooling issue. Something is either not allowing it to send to the spooler or its a port/usb issue or the computer is simply trying to do too much and not enough resources to send the command to spooler.

I am confused by what your calling Network Port. The printer is connected directly to the PC using a Cat5 network cable?

yes. using a Cat5 network cable directly connect to PC…

The most likely cause of this type of error is drivers or network cable or printer hardware. But it could also just be your computer getting too much to do at once.

all day are good, only occur in many order…

If resetting computer allows print then it must be a hardware issue of some sort. Your spooler stopped working or it stopped recognizing the printer.
When it happens, in the computer, does the printer show offline?

Do you have another printer to test? or can the printer hook up via usb or a different method so you can test it to see if its your network card?

OK, thanks to answer, next day , i will be check and test it…

today i test , when the printer not print, i close sambapos and check the printer , printer is also online, then i open sambapos again, the printer us can printer, so i think is problem is sambapos…
because i not restart the computer, only restart the sambapos…

@godtwmm SambaPOS working in production on thousands of venues for years and be sure if there is a SambaPOS issue that skips even a single print nobody will be able to use that.

Just restarting SambaPOS is not an indicator that it was SambaPOS causing the issue. It could still be hardware and how it is communicating with SambaPOS.

Sorry, You not understand i mean…
I know Sambapos is great soft, so i choice sambapos…
I mean is may be i setting wrong in sambapos or some setting can fix that problem…

If it is printing just fine most of the time but skips a print every now and then it is more than likely hardware. Unless there is something more to it that you are not telling us. Like if it were to ONLY happen when you do a specific process in SambaPOS
