Notice how when I Gifted the item using Points, the discount is removed. Yours should be doing that as well.
Did you rename the Gift state somewhere?

I reproduced the behaviour. You have a rule constraint backwards.
Like I said your debugger shows the Untag running - SECOND LAST DEBUG - top rule.
This is my UNTAG Gifted Rule.
Check yours you have State not equals Gift

No, it is not. The Rule you show is to Tag when UNgifted. It should look like this (Not Equals or Not Matches both work)ā¦

His issue was clearly the 10 or 15 he was getting - it was double dipping the Discounts.

A default installation has no such Rule. You must have added it somehow, perhaps via Import, otherwise manually.
That is the Action, now where is the Rule(s). And how did they get in there?
