Promt for price when selecting item

Hi everyone. I need a help how to set the sambapos when selecting an item to prompt for the price. Every day chef would make couple meals that are not on our menu so we would call this items Chef’s Special . As we making different specials every day the price changes also. So i made items named Chef’s Special or Dessert of the day. How i can set it up when i click on one of those items to be prompted for the price? Thanks

This is my solution;

Thanks it help for misc items, but i still have problem for an example, on our menu we have some items that sales price depends on the price we buy it for as it changes every time like lets say lobster, so we already have Lobster on the menu button so if i follow your instructions it prompts me again to type item name which i already have on the button for that item? Is there way just to add price without typing item name once i click on lets say this Lobster button?

Try set the price for Lobster to 0 and just use keyboard to set price then click Lobster. It should default quantity to 1 and the number you key in is price.

Or if you dont show keypad floow my method for a prompt after ading the order.

Thanks sukasem and JTRTech.
It worked when I used sukasem instructions, but I do not have keypad flow, but some how I followed JTRTech instructions, I have no idea if I followed it right way as from my first try it asked me to add item description so I had a go again second time played with it and now when I click on Lobster automatically numberpad pops up and asks to enter the price without asking for the item description.
ALL GOOD NOW THANKS.

That is how mine works. I sugested it as i use similar to you for specials with variying prices.
The other example was for misc items hence why it asked for description, the tutorial wasnt meant exactly for your needs but would have given the basics to do the job.

Once your more familer with samba it wont be a case of following a tutorial but just needed a sujected method which you can built on top of in your own way.
This is the thing with Samba is that no two systems will be the same as we have full control over how to setup our own system :slight_smile:
