RDP server installation

Hello Team
if i buy RDP from server provide companies and install sambapos on this server and configure sambapos mc3 with this server this is possible?

There is no point in using rdp if your using mc3. I’m not understanding you.

Do you mean the server is rdp? I don’t think that will work well.

Mc3 runs on android or iOS and connect to to your servers message server running on port 9000

RDP is very expensive. And it would be much more economical to use mc3 and a local server.

mc3 is good for simple menu, if there are any customisation, then mc3 wont be able to show exact menu like in windows

I had a few implementations on rdp and works as good. there are some shares on forum about how to install licence on windows roaming profile

That’s not entirely true. Mc3 supports most functions now. There are still a few things we need to add like submenu support and suffix feature for order tags but mc3 can be customized to handle most menu customizations now. RDP is expensive. I agree it can be decent but costs of RDP if done properly are pretty high.

It’s also important to add that using guides about configuring RDP on Windows 10 / 11 and using patch to make RDP work on versions of Windows it is not supposed to be enabled on is not a supported solution neither by SambaPOS nor Microsoft. Those patches, while they exist, are a grey area with respect to Windows licensing and even if you were to get it to work today, doing a Windows Update in the future may well break it requiring another patch, and such just creates a really unreliable setup which should never be a viable solution for a business.
