Samba not starting , screen resolution an issue?

I am using 4150 on Windows ultimate.
1)When I start samba it is altering my screen resolution to almost VGA mode , why this is happening ?
2) I changed my screen resolution to highest possible (1024x764) and re-tried this time I get below error
Unable to execute the file
c:…\samba.presentation.exe

Create process failed , code 740
The requested operation requires elevation…

Can you try running it as an administrator? Seems like a permission issue to me.

Hi Emre, I have only one user that is administrator on this system. Only change is earlier I was using an LCD TV panel as monitor where samba was working fine and I just got the CRT monitor back now , this is happening ever since we started using CRT monitor. .

Are any of these settings changed on the Shortcut?

Try re-installing… Run the install As Administrator. Run the program for the first time as Administrator.
Subsequent runs should not require Admin Privs.
