SambaPOS is a Windows application. There is not a Linux version.
Alright is there any plan to make a Linux version of Samba POS ?
Linux is more stable and provide more security and wide open source dev community
plus cutting windows server high costs
We don’t have plans for a separate Linux version but in the long term we have future plans to publish an API to support different types of clients. If it can capture some community attention that may lead to Linux based terminals first and SambaPOS Linux server that runs on mono. The part we mean to keep as closed source is the windows client part and we’re open for a open source server application. However we still have a lot of things to do for current project.
