Can you give more info about that? Did you recently installed V5? Was it working fine before?

It was working perfectly fine until i restored the database

Can you PM me that database backup?

Edit… Or better can you create a new backup of current database with management studio and PM me the zip file?

So did you manage to get this resolved?
Im at the exact same position now, and am wondering if i should wait for a solution, or turn back to the older version.

Deleting Samba.Modules.PaymentModule.dll file under SambaPOS installation folder solves this issue.

Finally got it solved!

Inside the SambaPOS installation folder C:\Program Files\SambaPOS5 or whatever it is for you, delete the file Samba.Modules.PaymentModule.dll.

PS: do make a copy of it somewhere in case you need to revert back.

Thanks Emre for helping me out on such short notice.

I got the same problem today, updateing from .58 to .60
i deleted the Samba.Modules.PaymentModule.dll file, and it works in removing the error, but now i dont have any order tag showing in my products :frowning:

As you can see, the right panel is empty.
Other clients dont have this problem, just the client where the server is installed

anyone have a solution? I really need to fix this ;(

is the mapping ok? Seems odd it’ll only not work on one terminal?

Show the mappings for one of the Order Tag Groups that applies to that Product or Product Group.

Very Odd indeed.

Other terminals don’t have this problem…

Try uninstalling SambaPOS completely. Also clear everything under the installation folder and reinstall.

Thanks!
What i did was: installing samba back, removed the Messaging server service with the Samba.MessagingServerServiceTool.exe Tool, uninstall Samba, remove the SambaPOS 5 folder, and reinstall again.
The Messaging Server service was not letting me remove the samba folder, for a clean installation.

Thanks Again!

I have had this error on 2 terminals in a multi terminal setup this morning and have worked out the problem.

2 tills I updated, I never closed Samba before updating. The installation prompted me to close it automatically which I did.

Upon reloading the logo.png hadn’t been changed and was still the company logo.

This makes me believe that if it is installed this way, not everything is changed.

The other tills I closed and installed manually and everything installed fine.

Matt

To add to this—as this just happened to me on the server terminal and therefore all the RDP clients that connect to it—make sure you have all RDP clients disconnected. I went to the server’s task manager>users tab and signed off all client users. I then looked in the process tab of the server’s task manager to see if any other SambaPOS processes remained (there were 3) and right-click>ended those tasks. Then I followed the procedure posted by @marcossteele. Everything worked as usual after that.

FTR: Deleting the Samba.Modules.PaymentModule.dll file did work for me, but I didn’t want any problems to show up down to road because of that.

Thanks everyone,
Cheers!
