I have few tag groups, e.g. Appetizers Modifiers, Pasta Modifiers, etc. If I created free tag Add Chicken with price (i guess this is important and causing issue) in Appetizers Modifiers, then when I trying to save free tag with the same name in Pasta Modifiers system shows an error.
Environment: Windows 7 Professional, SQL Express, two additional terminals (Windows 7)
Pretty sure the tags have to be unique so you cant have a tag with the same name in a different group
You will need to rename one of them, even just adding a space at the end of one should work, that way it looks the same but one actually has an additional character at the end

Maybe. But I think it is connected to price in some way. Because I’ve tried with other free tags from other groups, which have no price and everything works fine.

You can have two free tags named the same. You can not have a different price for them however. But I do not think it was the free tag that caused this at all. Let me try and reproduce it.
Explain more of exactly what you did when this occured?
EDIT: do you have any Order Tagged events firing any actions?
I have certain saved free tags in group Appetizers Modifiers and there is saved tag “Add Chicken” with price 4.00. Then waiter tried to add “add chicken” to Pasta Modifiers and it bring up error. Also I have “Add Chicken” with price in two other groups, but it is not free tags.

I can not reproduce it. There has to be more to it.
According to the error it definitely has something to do with having duplicate order tags… but I cant reproduce it. It must be something with how each one is configured.

Ok, I found reason. In my case I have tag group with free tagging Pasta Modifiers and Fettuccine Alfredo Modifiers without free tagging and that group has “Add Chicken 3”. Pasta Modifiers mapped to all Pasta category (Pasta, *), Fettuccine Alfredo only to specific product (Pasta, Fettuccine Alfredo).
