SQL refuse to start

I have running Sambapos 5 on SQL express 2017.

Now it refuse to start.

I click start I got this error message

Window could not start the SQL Server (SQL EXPRESS) on local Computer. For more information review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service provider vendor, and refer to service-specific error code -2146885628

Uninstall sql server and reinstall. Usually it’s a permissions issue or a mistake when installing. But most times I’ve seen that it was permissions issue.

You could do what it says and look at system log. Also I would look at Microsoft forums for more specific info.

If I uninstalled and reinstalled will I lose my data?

Did you back it up? What did you do to cause this?

It was a fresh install. Which was yesterday. I didn’t not do anything. The client just called me that Sambapos is showing connection string. So I login remotely to see the issues.

Well that error does not happen by not doing anything. Perhaps they changed something? Usually it’s permissions. What windows version is it?

Windows 10 pro. I’m currently doing some windows update if it was solve the issues. I will try to repair the db engine too
