Hello, I’m exploring ways to streamline menu item customization in SambaPOS for customers with special dietary needs (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, etc.). We offer a variety of substitutions, but I’d love to hear if anyone has implemented an efficient way to highlight or suggest these modifications in the menu … Does anyone have suggestions or best practices for managing seasonal items efficiently within the POS system?

Yeah we have setup dietary needs in a couple different ways before. You can do from simply using order tags to mark their needs on an order and customise your printer template to highlight it bold or larger if necessary.
We have also done with a few customers setting up allergens as custom product tags, then you can select which requirements a guest has and we had it so it would filter the whole menu and show only suitable dishes.
