Hi all, I am in need of new hardware for a new installation.
In simple I have shortlisted the following computers. Will they be efficient enough to run a samba system with two fixed POS terminals, two tablet terminals and two kitchen screens as well as 2 thermal printers.

What would be the recommended configuration for this equipment also.
Many thanks
Ali
In all honestly, Id buy the 49 quid base units from eBay, cheap chinese printers and a touch screen monitor. Total cost about £300 which includes a samba5 license…

Second @GreatShakesBar, that is the type of units I sell.
Total cost of £300 might be a tall order if only buying a couple all though doable if you shop around hard.
I usually sell systems like this for around £500 depending on exact spec with discounts as QTY goes up - per installed with Samba on SQL Express and my stock starter config for bar/restaurant ready for you to add products etc.
Pros of separates;
Lower purchase cost.
Easier maintenance.
After a couple of years the models will have moved on and if you have any issues you’ll struggle like anything to get spare parts.
This is what my units look like;

As for recommendations… my systems are Core2Duo 2.8-3.0Ghz, 4GB RAM, 60GB SSD and run sweet.
Have setup with 5 terminals off one of these as a terminal and server/SQL host.
Obviously you need windows 7 so if you were to get all in one make sure it has the equivalent win pos/embed version if thats wheat it has if it even includes OS.
