Unable to Create a 'Send Data to Scale Device' Action – Need Assistance

Hello community,

I’m currently facing an issue with my Rhino BAR-8RS scale and Samba POS 5.7.4. I’ve successfully installed the driver on my PC, and using Putty, I can see the scale’s data by sending the character ‘P’. According to Samba POS documentation, creating an action and an automation command is necessary to fetch the scale value.

However, when attempting to create the action, I encounter a problem. The documentation indicates that I should choose the type “Send data to scale device,” but I am unable to select it. Instead, it automatically defaults to “Data Logic Scale Operation” when I choose it. My scale is connected and configured in Samba POS as CAS ER SCALE on COM3 port.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so, do you have any solutions or workarounds? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to fix this by using the latest version.

anyway, it´s not working, please see my settings and what could be wrong.

Custom scale settings:
Match pattern: ^\d+(.\d+)?\skg$ (also tried with other strings)
Find: \d+(.\d+)?\skg (also tried with it empty)

Putty result: 0.096 kg (using a “P”)

Scale logs:

Scale model used: BAR-8RS (Rhino)
