I still go my “unregistered trial” problem and Tayfun told me to update.
I am using: SambaPOS PRO [App:5.1.62][04/04/2017 2:51:00][DB:142-142]SQ
I thought it was the last version but that executable’s name is: SambaSetup5162.exe and I now see that the executable name is SambaPOS-V5-Pro-Setup.exe, so I guess there are different and it might solve my problem.
My question now is:
How do I do the update?
Make a database backup, then
Just run the SambaPOS-V5-Pro-Setup
Uninstall SambaPOS and reinstall SambaPOS-V5-Pro-Setup
Always good to make a DB backup, but generally not necessary.
If your Backup settings are configured properly, a DB backup will be made before the upgrade.
Just shut down SambaPOS and run the Setup file, nothing more. No need to uninstall.
Latest version as of today is 5.2.3.
Unfortunately, there is no indication of the version on the download, or when it was last updated. In fact, there were at least 3 versions of 5.2.3 with different build dates.
Yes it auto updates the database with version update. If you have the option to create backup before migration then it will auto create a backup before the upgrade happens… So if you need to revert back you have a version of the database on the previous version.
